There are lots of foods that should be included in your diet every day,  but two wonder foods are celery and pineapple!

 

Celery

 

I highly recommend including celery as part of your daily diet. It contains an ideal balance of potassium and natural sodium, which can help to reduce puffiness in the whole body and especially under the eyes, as it helps to eliminate excess body fluids and toxins and restore balance. Celery also contains an anti-inflammatory compound called polyacetylene, which can help to support kidney function, and alkaline minerals including calcium and magnesium. These can help to reduce blood pressure and stress hormones. I often pop a couple of stalks into my green smoothies.

Pineapple

 

This tasty tropical fruit is excellent for promoting optimal digestion. It contains high levels of a proteolytic enzyme called bromelain, which aids the breakdown of protein in the digestive system and the reduction of mucus in the intestines. Bromelain is also a powerful anti-inflammatory agent and can help to reduce pain in muscles after exercise. Pineapple is also high in vitamin C, an essential antioxidant and an important vitamin for collagen formation and healthy skin. I eat at least half a cup of raw ripe pineapple every day 🙂
