Here’s a selection of my top tips in everything from fitness, to fashion, beauty and lifestyle, as featured on Evoke.ie:

1. ‘For me it’s about feeling my best on the inside, because that’s when I look my best on the outside. It’s all down to a mixture of food, sleep and exercise, and taking time out to look after yourself. Doing relaxing things and having downtime is so important too so I love going to the gym or pilates classes at Body Centering Pilates in Kilmacanogue with Mags Clark-Smoith. If I’m having a stressful day that really helps.’

2. ‘It’s really important to have a balance in life and while I think it’s really important to look smart no matter what job you’re in, you need to have have a balance. Because I have to get glammed up so often for events, I like to always make a point of relaxing with no makeup on, and tying my hair up when I’m not working. My husband also prefers me in casual mode!’

3. ‘I was a tomboy growing up and loved the outdoors and the countryside, so I’m still most comfortable in wellies. This easter we did a treasure hunt and all pulled on the wellies!’

4. ‘I try to keep my beauty routine as simple as possible, to avoid clutter in the bathroom apart from anything else. I keep a giant tub of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil in the bathroom and use it as a hair mask, eye makeup remover, body moisturiser and even a lip balm. The dogs love it too, so they always follow me around and try and lick it off!’

4. ‘I try not to follow trends because I have more of a classic style, but I also like doing my own thing. And I also think it’s important to highlight your best features and dress for your body shape. For red carpet events I go for dresses, and tend to choose either legs or cleavage. I wear black a lot but I love reds and pinks, bright colours rather than fussy patterns. I favour feminine, tailored pieces.’

5. ‘I’m low maintenance but like to get certain beauty treatments done because it makes it easier to get ready for work. I try to get my nails done regularly and go to Michele Burke at 53 Main Street in Dundrum. I get my eyelashes done in Up To My Eyes in Greystones and my hair extensions are done by Ceira Lambert in Shankill, using Gold Fever. I like to use people local to me.’

6. ‘I love statement pieces of jewellery and if I’m wearing a simple dress I’ll always wear a statement necklace. But I always keep Coco Chanel’s mantra in mind: Always take at least one accessory off before the leaving the house.’

7. ‘I’m an SPF50 freak! I use it everyday and wear La Roche Posay Tinted Liquid Moisturiser or Image Skincare SPF50 Vitamin C. I’m very careful about protecting my skin in the sun so always wear a big hat and glasses and a couple of layers of SPF when I’m holiday. I do love a tan though and Cocoa Brown is my favourite self-tan product. I’ll get a spray tan if I’m going to an event but if not I’ll do it myself. I use the dark one and apply it with a mitt.’

8. ‘Doing my own makeup day-to-day is kind of a creative outlet for me. But for big events like my wedding day I trust the professionals. Michelle Regazzoli is my go-to makeup artist. She knows exactly what I want and what I suit.’

9. ‘When it comes to makeup I have a few products that I can’t live without. For work I use Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation with MAC Strobe Cream under that. I’ve also got into Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream which was a Christmas treat to myself.’
