It’s that time of year. I’ve been slowly stripping back the heavy winter layers, starting with the woollen jumpers, thick black tights and knee-high boots. It’s by no means balmy tropical weather here in Ireland, but the temperature has been hitting double-digits this week, the evenings are considerably longer and there’s definitely a more humid feel to the air š
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been thinking about summer clothes. But one step at a time… starting from the feet up!
I’ve booked myself in for a pedicure this week, and have been surfing the net looking at the prettiest summer sandals for upcoming parties, weddings and events.
Here’s my pick of the most gorgeous sandals out there at the moment, in a range of different prices:
Carvela Guide Bronze Sequin Back Heeled Sandals (ā¬183.09)
Serious party shoes! I love the unusual sequin backs and simple gold straps. You could wear a basic dress and let these beauties do all the work for you š
Red Pointed Caged Heels (ā¬63.38)
Lace-up and caged heels are still going strong, and the faux-snakeskin detail in these heels really caught my eye. They would look gorgeous with ripped denim skinny jeans or your favourite flirty party dress.
Porcelain print lace up gladiator heels in blue (ā¬42.00)
This blue and white porcelain print looks super fresh and summery, and I really like the strap detail in them.
They would look great with white jeans or dress, or else you could add a nautical feel by wearing them with bright red.
I ended up buying these strappy gold stilettos just a few days ago! I popped into River Island to buy a couple of vest tops, but spotted these shoes and thought that they had a very Jimmy Choo look to them. They’ll go with everything, and have such pretty delicate straps. So good value per wear, I think… or so I told myself! They would make great wedding shoes for both brides and bridesmaids too, and a whole lot cheaper than the Choos.
Gold glitter block heel sandals (ā¬65.00)
For those that love a little bit of height but nothing too high, I think these gold strappy sandals with a sparkly block heel are chic, but definitely a little bit easier to walk in. I love the glittery heels!
