Excitement is building! I’m off on holiday next week with my husband, so I’ve spent the past couple of weeks combing the shops and surfing the net looking for bikinis, swimwear and beachwear. The choice has never been so good, with literally hundreds upon thousands of different styles and colours to choose from. So what’s a girl to do? Well, I’ve given you a run-down of my own faves, and as I’ve been indulging in a spot of online shopping recently, many will be coming with me next week when we head off to sunnier climes.
Here are my picks of the hottest holiday swimwear and beachwear:
Halterneck Plunge Swimsuit in Monochrome (ā¬26.60)
This chic swimsuit is ideal for those that prefer to avoid showing their stomach on the beach. It draws attention away from your mid-section and the clever black bottom part of the one-piece helps to narrow hips, bums and tums.
Organza Lace Beach Playsuit (ā¬33.25)
I’m fully obsessed with lacy white beach cover-ups as they look so pretty and fresh in the sunshine. They’re perfect to pop on over your bikini for a poolside lunch, and light and easy to pack. I absolutely love this little organza lace playsuit, which would look great with either a white, black or colourful bikini and wedges.
Pineapple Fishnet Swimsuit (ā¬39.90)
I bought this very swimsuit a few days ago for the fun! It’s a little bit quirky and unusual, and you can totally get away with it on a beach where most people are skimpily dressed! I’ll share a photo if I’m feeling brave enough š
Pink Print Keyhole Bikini Top (ā¬22)
River Island generally does gorgeous swim and beachwear, and I usually try to pick up a few pieces in springtime before the crazy summer rush. I really like the pretty colours and unusual design of this pink keyhole bikini top…
You could mix and match with different bottoms you already have or just pick up the matching string-tie bikini bottoms (ā¬17) while you’re at it!
Harness Detail Red Bikini (ā¬33.25)
I bought this bikini in black just last week as I loved the neckline and double straps in the bottoms. Hello, strange tan lines! It’s gorgeous in red though and little bit different to the average bikini.
Sunnylife Inflatable Flamingo (ā¬77.46)
It’s not strictly swimwear… but everyone needs a giant pink inflatable flamingo, right?! The perfect pool accessory š
ASOS Macrame Fringed Triangle Bikini Top (ā¬36.62)
For a more boho beach vibe, this funky orange fringed bikini top offers slightly more tummy coverage and would make the perfect dancing bikini for a pool party.
Either mix and match with a simple pair of bikini bottoms, or go all-out and buy the matching fringed ones too (ā¬22.53). Ah go on!
Wrap Front Chiffon Maxi Beach Kaftan (ā¬36.62)
maxi dresses can look seriously pretty on the beach, and particularly if you’re not mad about showing off your legs. I love the colour and fluid shape of this pastel kaftan.
Ombre Pom Pom Swimsuit (ā¬28.17)
Colourful pom poms are one of my absolute favourite summer trends, so it makes perfect sense to wear them on a swimsuit! The pom poms are the stand-out superstar feature of this otherwise simple and flattering black halter one-piece.
