I can’t quite believe it myself, but my second book is almost finished!

This week, I’ve been working on the final edits before the proofs, while the designer at Gill Books makes everything look pretty on the pages šŸ™‚

I shared some of the photos of the recipes being shot over four days at the end of February and in early March, and a fortnight ago, we shot the final part of the book – the cover and some filler shots of me for the inside pages. We did the shoot in Wicklow and were so lucky with the weather as it had bucketed down the day before, but the sun shone for us on the day of the shoot. A good omen, I hope!

As book two is about fitness, the majority of the shoot featured a range of fun and colourful gym gear. Yes, I’m one of those people that go around in activewear even when I’m not being active!

I haven’t revealed the name of the book yet as we’re keeping it a surprise until we reveal the cover in a few weeks. But the book will be released in early September and is more focused on fitness, including fitness foods and over 100 recipes for fitness, fitness tips and lots of lifestyle advice for looking and feeling your very best, plus how to make your workout work harder for you. Practical tips for busy people šŸ™‚

The photographer was Gavin Glave, who had joined us from London for the day, and one of the locations was the spacious, bright and airy Body Centering Pilates studio run by Mags Clark-Smith. It has gorgeous views across to the sea off Bray.

Michelle Regazzoli-Stone did my makeup for the shoot, while Ceira Lambert’s salon looked after my hair.

While I can’t reveal any of the images just yet, I did want to share some of the outfits I wore on the day. ‘Athleisure wear’ has become such a huge trend, that there is an incredible range of gorgeous pieces to choose from. I collected quite a lot over the few weeks before the shoot from some of my favourite shops, brands and websites.

The white cropped top above is the Yasa White Workout Bra Top from House of CB (Ā£29). I love the cutout details at the sides, and the back features flattering crossover straps.

For some of the photos, I wore this grey, blue and black combo…

My little grey sports bra is the Aleena Fit Breathable Space Dye Sports Crop Top (ā‚¬14), which is made from soft, comfy cotton.

The Tabitha Marble Print zipped hoody cost just ā‚¬19 and helped to keep me warm for the outdoor shots and I thought the blue print was really unusual…

My black sports leggings feature cut-out mesh panels, and were another really comfortable piece that I’ve worn plenty of times since the shoot. They’re the Emma Fit Mesh Panel Sports Leggings for just ā‚¬16, and would work just as well with a big cosy jumper and boots!

The coral, purple and black strappy sports bra I’m wearing in the planking photo above, is the Active Cross Back Gym Crop Top from Misguided and it costs  ā‚¬19.60. I’ve worn it so many times to the gym and it always gets loads of compliments šŸ™‚

That’s all I can share for now, but I can’t wait to finally reveal the book cover in the next few weeks!!
