Sometimes, it can feel as though you don’t have any time to exercise, and when this happens, it’s easy to just skip it. You can make all of the excuses under the sun, but trust us when we say that if you want to keep fit and healthy, you will find a way to do so. It’s not always easy, but it’s just a matter of priorities and figuring out how much you want it. If you’re not really that dedicated to it, then you aren’t going to be too bothered when you can’t find the time that you think you need. It’s true to say that you probably need far less time than you think to exercise, and in this article, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the things that you can do to ensure that you’ve got time. If you would like to find out more about this topic, keep reading down below.

A Simple Walk

The first thing that we are going to recommend is that you simply take yourself for a walk. At the end of the day, when you’ve decided that you just want to chill out on the couch for an hour or so, don’t. On some days this is completely fine, but try to go for a walk for at least four of the seven days of the week. You might not think that this is enough to keep yourself fit, and you might be right, but it’s enough to keep your muscles warm until you can find more time to dedicate to your fitness. We’re not saying that walking is going to give you the abs that you would like, but it will be enough to make sure you’re in good health.

You don’t even have to go that far, but aim for around an hour per walk. It might seem like a lot when you just want to chill, but your body needs this movement in order to stay in the best possible condition.

How You Get To Work

Another thing that you should think about is how you get to work every morning. If the commute is not that far, then there is no reason that you can’t walk or cycle to and from work. It might feel as though it’s a mountain that needs climbing, but it’s not that bad. As long as your work is within a reasonable distance then this is certainly something that you should consider. It might have been a while since you have gotten your bike out and gone for a ride, but that shouldn’t put you off. It’s a fantastic way to get exercise in, and you don’t even have to find time in your day to complete it, as it’s already weaved in your day.

This is far better than driving as it gets you the exercise that you need, and it’s also great for the environment which is an added bonus. Even if you want to start with doing this a couple of days per week instead of every time you go to work, it’s a start!

A Short Home Workout

We know that you don’t feel as though you have any time, and that’s why you should try to complete short home workouts everyday. Instead of doing one long one a couple of days per week, try shortening them so that they take up less time, but then completing them more frequently. For example, if you want to exercise your glutes, do this one day, then do your legs another day etc. But, if you know that you are going to be short for time on one day and you have a little bit more to spare on another, then you can always extend one of the workouts to compensate. It’s entirely up to you how you arrange your workouts, but know that there are shorter versions if you need to fit it into a small time slot.

Plan In Advance

We highly recommend that you plan out your day in advance if you are serious about exercising. This way, you can move things around, and figure out where you can find time for your workout. It might be a case that you have a number of things to do, but if you move one thing to another time, you are able to fit in at least a small amount of exercise. Keep in mind that any exercise is better than none, so even if you only have a ten minute gap that you can make, it’s worth it.

Wake Up Earlier

Finally, have you ever considered waking up earlier? Even just half an hour to go for a quick jog in the morning? We know that you probably value your sleep as much as the next person, but the next solution to that would be to head to bed a little bit earlier. We’re sure that you will be able to get to bed a little bit earlier than usual in order to wake up a little earlier. It’s a fantastic way to start your day at the very least because you will feel energized, and ready to face whatever comes at you. From your workout, your body will release endorphins which are a natural mood enhancer, helping you to get ready for the day with an open mind and a good feeling inside.
