12967908_10157023700655227_1273076135442207798_oWe just spent the most amazing weekend celebrating a gorgeous couple at their wedding in Borris House, Co. Carlow. The new Mr. and Mrs. Ledwidge!

Julie and Jeff went to an enormous effort to make the weekend special and memorable for their family and friends, and we were spoilt with fun, food, endless dancing and a serious amount of laughs with good friends!

The colours and style on the day couldn’t have been more chic, with a focus on soft creams and mushroom colours in the reception room decor and bridesmaid’s dresses, and huge bursts of gypsophila (baby’s breath) flowers, including the most beautiful arch at the entrance to the church. All the flowers were done by Flowerbox, and they were spectacular.

unnamed-5I loved the exposed brick and stone inside the elegant dining room, which was designed by Gotcha Covered Wedding and Event Specialists for the occasion. The neural colour palette worked beautifully with the high ceiling and rustic beams…

unnamed-6Plus the food was absolutely delicious, and I even got my own special menu šŸ™‚

I had brought a few different dresses to choose from depending on the weather, and as it literally rained continuously from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, I opted for the ‘Rosa’ dress from Cari’s Closet (ā‚¬150 to buy) with sleeves, a cut-out chest detail and thigh-high split. It broke the ‘legs or cleavage’ rule, but it was so comfy to dance in and kept me a little bit warmer than my other strappy dresses would have.

I wore this long dusky pink ‘Moren’ Coat from House of CB (ā‚¬196) thrown over my shoulders. It’s cosy yet glam, with structured shoulders and an exaggerated lapel.

As I wasn’t sure what I would be wearing, I brought a neutral bag and pair of shoes. My bag is by Love Moschino (ā‚¬239.43), though the one I have is slightly paler than this light pink version.

It’s a handy size if you’re out for the day at a wedding or event, with gorgeous gold details and I’ve worn it so many times as it goes with everything. Definitely a worthwhile investment, or the perfect present if you have a special birthday or anniversary coming up šŸ˜‰

My lace-up nude heels are just ā‚¬42.24 from ASOS, and were surprisingly comfy to wear for the majority of the day, plus lots of dancing! Though I was extremely grateful for the flip-flops provided by the bride for all the girls there later on in the evening šŸ™‚

The gold cuff I wore is a real statement piece from Scatterpin Jewellery (Ā£28). It’s pretty unusual, with uneven edges and a polished finish, which picks up the gold in bags, shoes and clothing. It was the only jewellery I needed to wear as it’s so eye-catching.
