I’m just home from the beautiful chaos that was the Dublin #HMBalmaination launch, in the flagship H&M store on College Green. As expected, it was absolute bedlam!!
The much-anticipated collected from one of the planet’s most coveted designer brands, has finally arrived onto the high street, and it’s understandable that hundreds turned out to get their hands on the items.
I was lucky enough to get my paws on the sparkly green dress, which I’d my eye on for a while… but the whole collection is gorgeous, and excellent quality too. I ended up buying more for my husband, as the mens’ collection is just as nice and really good value.
I wore a trusty little black dress to the event, paired with my ASOS over-the-knee suede-look boots (€88.24).
The dress is from H&M’s normal collection, and costs €39.99, and I just popped a wide belt around the middle to nip in the waist…
I felt a little bit thrown together as I’ve had a manic day, but that’s the wonderful thing about an LBD! They’re easy to wear, go with everything, and make you feel good, even if you’ve had ten minutes to get ready 🙂
As party season will be here in a matter of weeks (but don’t mention the Christmas word!), and what’s better than the perfect LBD to make you feel a million dollars at your festive bash?!
I’ve selected my top 5 little black dresses all €60 or under:
A good old peplum style has saved the day on many occasions, when I’ve decided to stuff my face at a dinner or party! They’re extremely forgiving around your middle, and really help to cover up and lumps or bumps around your tummy and hips.
I also love the exposed zip down the back, and the comfy fabric. You’ll wear a style like this again and again.
This is probably a dress for the braver amongst us… but I do love sheer fabric and lace together. Elegant yet so sexy!
You will most definitely turn all the heads in the room in this LBD!!
More black lace… can you tell I’m obsessed?!
Skater styles are flattering to those with slimmer waists and wider hips and bottoms, as they really highlight your most narrow part. And again, the exposed zip adds a chic designer touch down the back of the dress. Super stylish, yet an easy style to wear!
This simple yet elegant dress combines two of my fave trends – the midi length and the Bardot style neckline.
I love the look on this model, worn with glossy, groomed hair and a pair of statement stilettos.
I could hardly write a piece about LBDs without including a glittery one, now could I?! It’s party season we’re talking about, after all!
If you’re going to wear full-on sparkle, then it can be a good idea to opt for a simple dress. So this one ticks all the boxes for me, with its feminine straps and elegant neckline. Wear with a pair of strappy heels, minimal accessories, and let the dress do the talking!
